It’s the lightning staff code, one of the under-loved staffs in origins. The reason being of its time-consuming part collection and upgrade process.

Elemental buildup
The bolts of lightning are fired with the staff of lighting shoots code and it’s similar to the wunderwaffe DG-2. This will chain and kill multiple zombies, although it is limited in the fact that the lightning will chain up to two or three zombies per bolt.
If the zombies are shot at the feet, then it’s really possible to kill more than two-three zombies. When the charge is released, it fires a slow-moving ball of electricity which is going to travel in a straight line until it reaches a wall or floor. This is going to pass by the zombies or on the wall or floor.
This is going to released bolts. It releases bolts of lightning, stunning and killing the nearby zombies. This is however not going to kill a large number of zombies, so it’s recommended to keep moving as zombies and can still hit the players.
Obtaining it
Obtaining the lighting staff code is not easy but is confirmed. The players must gather three parts of the staff and the elemental crystals as well as the gramophone.
Even that is added to the correct records to access the crazy place and the lower levels of the excavation site. These staff parts can be found in areas only accessible by jumping off the tank at certain locations. These locations are
- The way from the church to the tank station. Here there is a wooden cutoff staircase on the right before the trench to generator 2.
- On the way from the tank station to the church, there will be a cutoff wooden scaffolding on the left linked to the evacuation site. This leads the players to a small hole where they can pick up to the staff part.
- On the way form tank station to the church, there will be a dirt path before the church on the right which would lead to an upper level of the church and here the staff part can be picked up.
Playing the crazy piano
Before the step, there is a need to build all four staves and then equip the lighting staff code. The complete step takes place in the crazy place which is a space where the crystals were located. You can also get there by creating a portal in one of the element mines.
After getting inside, you can look for the colour purple for finding the lighting area. Because there are some symbols on the wall that are actually sheet music and even there are some purple triangles.
